Warrenville, Ill. – David Duke has assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of National Express Corporation, leading Durham School Services in the U.S. and Stock Transportation in Canada. National Express Corporation is a leading provider of student transportation throughout North America.
Duke has nearly 25 years’ experience in the student transportation industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales for FirstGroup America, where he was responsible for growth in the Student Transportation, Public Transit and Vehicle Services divisions.
“We are excited to have David on board,” said Dean Finch, Chief Executive of National Express Group. “He has a proven track record of strategic leadership and a strong focus on safety and customer service. We look forward to the dynamic direction he will bring to Durham School Services and Stock Transportation.”
Duke began his career in 1988 at Ryder Student Transportation Services (acquired by FirstGroup America in 1999), where he held several positions, including Senior Vice President. Duke then joined Durham School Services as Senior Vice President, managing regional operations and business development.
“I also sincerely want to thank John Elliott for his dedicated leadership of the organization and solid commitment to the students we transport and the customers we serve," said Finch. Elliott will continue on with National Express Corporation in a new role representing the organization within the industry and among its customers.
